Welcome to the Echo’s latest transfer report…

First off, Sky Sports Germany continue their claims that Callum Hudson-Odoi wants to leave Chelsea this window, and has once again requested to move. They state that Chelsea are doing all they can to convince the youngster to stay.

I understand that Chelsea have no intention of selling Hudson-Odoi, but the concern for me is that he’s still not signing his lucrative new contract offer that’s been on the table for some time. Chelsea could well be pressured to sell, if they wish to get good money for their asset. It’s another complex and frustrating situation.

Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas is yet to complete his move to Monaco, with the general consensus saying that Chelsea and the French side are a little way apart on the fee, and Chelsea also want to source their replacement first.

The latest name for that role, joining Nicolo Barella, is Argentine International Leandro Paredes.

The 24-year old Zenit midfielder is a target for Chelsea, according to Corrierre Dello Sport. Perhaps more suited to play in the role that Fabregas has been playing this season, Paredes is a more natural backup to Jorginho.

Chelsea should and probably will have any replacement for Fabregas, at advanced stages now.

A quick update on the Karim Benzema rumour, yesterday I was told that there could be an interest from Chelsea. Since then, it’s been confirmed to me that the Real Madrid striker is on the Chelsea shortlist, however, no talks have taken place as of yet.

Finally, Victor Moses is set to depart at around £12 million, with Crystal Palace, Fulham and Cardiff City all battling for his signature.
