London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham will battle it out under the flood lights at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night. Both teams will want to seek that all important Football League Cup final place.

After a 1-0 loss to Spurs earlier this month in the first leg Chelsea will want to bounce back and put things right. This is a massive game for both sides as it could be both teams only chance of silver ware this season. Chelsea are currently sitting 4th and Tottenham are sitting 3rd in the table. The race for the title looks like it is going to carry on being between Liverpool and reigning champions Manchester City. Therefore, this game is crucial for both teams. Both teams will hope to be holding that Carabao Cup up in the air on the 24th of February.

A lot of pressure rides on Maurizio Sarri’s team as his frustrations rose after Chelsea were defeated by Arsenal last Saturday night. The manager claimed that his team were ‘’unmotivated’’ and had a ‘’poor mental approach’’. Therefore, the team know how important it is to graft for 90 minutes tomorrow. However, if they repeat the performance, they had in the first leg Sarri could surely not be let down.

In Sarri’s press conference today he said: ‘’We need to react on the pitch. We discussed with the players how to try to improve our approach, the motivation, the determination. We are trying to change some things, but we all have to react on the pitch.’’ Therefore, it was clear to see it is something that the team are working on.

Chelsea fans were hoping for the Gonzalo Higuaín signing to be registered before our London derby tomorrow. However, the Chelsea manager claimed that ‘’It is not possible for Higuain to play tomorrow.’’ Although this isn’t great news for Chelsea despite recent issues with the strikers and team formation in relation to this Spurs have several injuries that work to the Blues advantage. Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Dele Alli are all out for the away side causing Chelsea a few less problems to worry about in this pending, intense London clash.

If Chelsea were to beat Spurs tomorrow night it would mean a lot to them. Recently the blues have had their confidence knocked massively and Sarri has even had his job questioned. Also, it is clear they will not win the Premier League this year so, it is their chance to get their hands on a trophy.

Meanwhile Manchester City beat Burton Albion 9-0 in the first leg of this cup. Therefore, unless a miracle happens the winner of this game will be taking on Manchester City at Wembley in the final.

Everything is to play for tomorrow night. So, who will make it to the final?
