There is just one week to go in the January transfer window, and Maurizio Sarri is still adamant that he needs a replacement for Cesc Fabregas, who joined Monaco this month.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with signing Leandro Paredes and Nicolo Barella. Paredes looks set to join PSG, whilst Cagliari are determined to hold on to Barella until at least the summer.

This has left Chelsea debating whether they even need to bring another midfielder in, despite Sarri’s insistence.

But today, Catalan publication SPORT are running a story claiming that Chelsea ‘love Adrien Rabiot’ of PSG, and could move for him this month.

Although this particular publication has a mixed history on reporting transfer news, Rabiot is a player that I have personally heard Chelsea showing a strong interest in signing this window, and previously.

Wide reports state that the 23-year old France international is a wanted man though, and Tottenham are the ones reportedly closest to signing him. Barcelona also showed interest.

So if Chelsea are to pursue this move, they will need to act fast and act now.
