Earlier this week during a recently recorded interview with French radio station RMC, it was revealed that Eden Hazard had made his decision on his future regarding whether he would continue his career at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea, or finally fulfil his childhood dream of playing at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium for thirteen-time European Champions Real Madrid.

The decision was made but Hazard remained tight-lipped on his plans publicly.

The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with a high-profile switch to Real Madrid and revealed he wanted to leave the Blues after the World Cup last summer.

Despite numerous reported offers from Los Blancos, Hazard opted to stay at the club after the Chelsea hierarchy refused to sell their prized asset.

But with under 18 months left on his contract, the Belgium captain has been stalling over whether to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge or leave for the Spanish capital.

“I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision.”

This has lead to many people within the footballing world to believe that Hazard’s decision was his time in the English capital would be coming to an end and his time at Madrid had finally come.

The Chelsea fanbase had started to accept that the club would go into next season without their Belgian talisman and we’re already via social media discussing and debating who would replace him.

But then something huge happened.

In the very early hours of this morning, in an interview with Spanish radio station El Larguero, recently departed Chelsea player Cesc Fàbregas – now playing for Ligue 1 side AS Monaco – revealed that if Hazard had made his decision, it would be that he is STAYING at Chelsea and not be moving to Real Madrid in the summer.

“If Hazard has said that he already has the decision taken, he has decided to renew with Chelsea.”

With Fábregas confirming that Hazard is very happy at Chelsea & that his family is happy in London – do we have another plot twist in the Eden Hazard ‘will he, won’t he?’ saga?

Seems like we will be finding out the answer very soon…
