Callum Hudson-Odoi in the last hour has been called up to the full England squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Montenegro.
Hudson-Odoi, 18, was recently called up to the England U21 squad, his maiden call-up to this level, after impressing in recent England U19 and club appearances. With three senior players pulling out of the squad today due to injury (Including Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus Cheek, who is thought to have withdrawn due to precaution), Hudson-Odoi received the news from U21 manager Aidy Boothroyd, not long after, notifying him he would be promoted to Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Hudson-Odoi has represented England at every age group from U16 to U19 and was part of the squad that won the U17 Fifa World Cup in 2017. Despite fluctuating game time in West London, the youngster has caught the eye of his country. Perhaps, the Steve Holland effect?
