Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has retaliated to comments by former Liverpool defender turned Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Carragher, who said Callum Hudson-Odoi should leave Chelsea as soon as possible.

Carragher believes the 18-year old won’t get enough chances at Chelsea and for the good of his own career, should leave Stamford Bridge.

Hasselbaink though, who is also now a pundit, has the opposite view, and believes Carragher’s latest comments are hypocritical.

“I have seen Carragher’s comments that Hudson-Odoi shouldn’t sign a new contract and I find them hypocritical.

He didn’t have that opinion when Suarez, Coutinho, or Sterling wanted to leave.

Hudson-Odoi is a home grown talent and he will not be loved any more than he is at Chelsea. Jamie Carragher would have never left Liverpool and I’m not sure he should advise youngsters to do so.”
