What a fantastic night at Stamford Bridge! Let’s be honest we were pretty poor for long periods of the game which has mirrored much of this season.

I’ve always been a firm believer that as long as you win a cup tie the performance is irrelevant. A 1-1 draw after extra time I felt was a fair result. Frankfurt were very well organised and very much deserved their equaliser after Ruben Loftus-Cheek had put us 1-0 up at half time.

Chelsea had half chances to win it and we certainly had to do some defensive work as well.

Penalty shoot outs are always nervy occasions but we certainly didn’t fail to deliver. Kepa making two vital saves after Azpilicueta had missed. It was all down to our main Eden Hazard who calmly scored the crucial penalty.

The scenes after were fantastic and we now play Arsenal in the final in Baku!

I just hope now we go on and win it and bring another European trophy back to West London.

Come on Chelsea!
