The Chelsea Echo admins Paree and Terry Sazio had the wonderful opportunity to interview the father of Academy Star Tino Anjorin, Sheriff Anjorin.

Here are some of his best quotes. To listen to the full interview, just click play on the video below! (We apologise for some of the technical issues, we are looking to improve on these and fix the ‘lag’.)

In case you wanted to know, here are all the questions which Sheriff was asked.

When talking about whether he would take the route of staying at the club and trying to make it through the system like Hudson-Odoi, or go on loans like Mount, he replied with ‘His plan is not to go on loan.’

When talking about Hudson-Odoi and how quickly he has developed into football, he said that ‘He looks so comfortable on the pitch.’

Sheriff has been watching Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek for a while, and many years ago he said that ‘If these two can’t play for Chelsea, we may as well give up!

Tino’s father definetely didn’t hold back on two of the younger players who he liked: ‘The player I love is Billy Gilmour.’ ‘I think Reece James is going to be a sensation.’

Mr. Anjorin told us that he genuinely thinks that Tino will make it at Chelsea: ‘People compare Tino to Loftus-Cheek.’ ‘I don’t like to compare, but if you compare Loftus-Cheek and Tino at the age of 17, Tino has scored many more goals as a midfielder.’

‘Jody Morris said that Tino was one of the best finishers in the club.’

Like I said before, these are only a couple of the quotes, and there are some very other interesting comments made in the full interview, which can be listened to by playing the Youtube video linked above. Finally, and once again, a massive thank you to Sheriff who was very honest and a brilliant person to interview.
