It has been reported today, that Reece James and Hudson-Odoi have stepped up training and are almost ready to play first team football.
Hudson-Odoi is expected to play in Friday’s game against Brighton at Stamford Bridge with the U23’s, which tickets are still available to buy.
With Hudson-Odoi close to signing a contract worth five years with the club, the announcement and him returning to full fitness could never be any better.
Reece James is also slightly behind Hudson-Odoi, however he had a few minutes in the Summer with England therefore he may need less time to play with the U23’s.
Reece James is also a player who Chelsea will be offering a contract too very soon, with Tammy Abraham also a possibility.
There’s a possibility James and Hudson-Odoi could be on the bench for next week’s game against Valencia, however we’d be more likely to see them against Liverpool.
