At what seemed a comfortable victory for Chelsea in the end, there were some great individual performances along the way.

Kepa – 5

Kepa, unfortunately, has not had a great start to the season at all. He should’ve definetely saved the first goal at the set piece, and maybe could have parried the hard shot in a better direction for the second goal wit his quality.

Alonso – 7

Despite Emerson’s injury being a big blow, Alonso was not even that bad today. At LWB he looked a lot more comfortable, and although he got beaten a couple times by Traore, those chances didn’t end up as goal scoring opportunities and he provided an excellent cross for Tammy’s third goal.

Tomori – 8

His second start in a row for Chelsea, and what a game that was. Scored an absolute screamer, was brilliantly involved in Tammy’s second goal in the buildup, and didn’t make any crucial errors at the back too. Perhaps, he needs to work on his confidence with his weaker left foot, but a strong performance from the 20 year old.

Christensen – 9

For me, one of his best performances in the Chelsea shirt. He looked extremely comfortable in the middle of the back three, and made important interceptions and tackles when Wolves were looking to play in behind. He looked like a proper leader on the pitch, and is slowl getting back to his best.

Rudiger – 7

As it was his first game back from his injury, it wasn’t a bad performance at all. He did well to retrieve the ball a couple times, but lost a ball a bit too and tried to do a bit too much. Was great to see him get 45 minutes and hopefully he just improves on this performance.

Azpilicueta – 8

Again, someone who has received a lot of criticism this year, he was one of our better players today. Even in the latter stages of the game, he was still running down the wing, and put in a couple few crosses and defended well. Solid game from the captain.

Kovacic & Jorginho – 7

I’ve put these two players together because they had similar games. Jorginho in the first half was very sloppy and was giving the ball away, but both grew into the game and Jorginho got a wonderful assist again. Decent performance from the midfielders.

Mount – 7.5

These are the type of performances which people criticise a lot, but was one where he was a neat tidy player and did not do much wrong. He found spaces inbetween the lines, and managed to pick up a goal and did well for Tammy’s first. Again, decent game from Mason.

Willian – 8.5

Willian had a great game and in fact impressed me a lot, despite me being one of his big criticisers. He looked comfortable on the ball and driblled very well, creating a couple chances. Also worked hard to get the ball back when he lost it, good to see from the Brazilian.

Abraham – 10

I rarely give 10 in player ratings, but what more could Tammy have done. Scoring a hat-trick of all types of goals, and all three were amazing in their own way. His hold up play and link-up was also extremely impressive, and his confidence is now right at the very top. What a game!

These are the player ratings for today’s game against Wolves. Do you agree with my ratings? Let me know on my personal Twitter account and also on The Chelsea Echo.
