The Premier League fixtures are out and Chelsea begin their campaign with a trip to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton. This will be played on the evening of Monday 14th September, following the blues playing in the latter stages of the Champions League.

Frank Lampard’s side are unbeaten against their opening day opponents, with their most recent trip to the Amex finishing in a 1-1 draw. Chelsea’s first home game of the 20/21 campaign can’t is a tough encounter as they welcome Premier League champions Liverpool to Stamford Bridge. In all four meetings between the sides last season, Chelsea were victors on one occasion, but played well in every one of them and were unlucky to be on the losing side.

Chelsea fans will be wondering when their side plays Manchester United and Tottenham – two matches that always brings sheer enjoyment when we win. Lampard takes his side to Old Trafford on October 24th and host Jose Mourinho’s Spurs the following month on November 28th.

Another fixture that is long overdue is the anticipated fixtures against Leeds United, 14 years since their last league meeting between the sides. The first will take place on December 5th at Stamford Bridge and the return fixture at Elland Road on March 13th.

In recent seasons the festive period is a difficult part of the season where the fixtures pile up for clubs competing in more than one competition. For the blues, a trip to the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day, followed by a visit of Manchester City to Stamford Bridge on January 2nd. Hopefully Chelsea can come out of the festive period with wins against these sides, which will set up for the second part of the season.

Looking to the end of the season, Chelsea will finish their Premier League campaign away at Villa Park to face Aston Villa who survived the relegation battle.
