As reported by the Evening Standard, Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher is set to join Crystal Palace on loan for the 2020/21 season after having completed his medical.
The 20-year-old Gallagher has been on the books of the club since 2008 and has progressed well through the youth ranks.
Last season, in total, Gallagher racked up 47 appearances across all competitions for Charlton and then Swansea after moving to the Swans in January. The Englishman produced an impressive return of six goals and eleven assists overall last season.
Chelsea and Crystal Palace have a good relationship when it comes to negotiating transfers, most recently Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s loan deal in 17/18. Following a successful full season under his belt, Loftus-Cheek returned to Chelsea the following season becoming a regular under Maurizio Sarri.
The Evening Standard reports that both clubs will be hoping to make the deal official once Chelsea have tied the young Englishman to a new contract. Gallagher is currently with the England U21 squad and will join Eberechi Eze who Palace signed on a five-year contract from Queens Park Rangers
