Chelsea have completed the signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen for £71M.
The Blues have signed the attacking midfielder on a five-year contract, with the German set to move to the Bridge for the 2020/21 season.
The 21-year-old has become one of Europe’s brightest youngsters, scoring 12 league goals and assisting six times in the Bundesliga during the last campaign.
The German international scored in his final game for Leverkusen in the Europa League quarter-final against Inter Milan, resulting in a 2-1 win to the Serie A outfit.
He will join fellow international teammate Timo Werner and Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech to the list of new Chelsea signings.
The current transfer window will run until the 5th October, leaving the West London side with sufficient time to acquire any further targets.
