Reports from Goal suggest that Premier League side Crystal Palace are in advanced talks to complete the loan signing of Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi.

The 26-year-old, whose contract with Chelsea expires in June 2021, is close to agreeing an extension of his Blues contract by a further year, as part of a mutual agreement that Marina Granovskaia hopes will maintain a transfer fee for the Belgium international next summer.

Batshuayi will have many clubs to choose from as if not a buyer emerges this summer, Chelsea football clubs current approach has been a smart process.

A host of Premier League clubs are in talks to sign the 26-year-old, most notably Newcastle United. However, they have recently announced the signing of Callum Wilson in the last few days meaning Batshuayi is unlikely to move to St James Park.

Now, Palace are the front runners to sign the Chelsea striker. Batshuayi would return to Palace for a second spell after spending the 18/19 season on loan at Selhurst Park
