Chelsea’s interest in signing Declan Rice is well known this summer and the blues will include Ross Barkley in their bid to sign the 21-year-old.
The Football Insider reports that the Chelsea midfielder will be offered to West Ham as part of the deal.
Barkley’s valuation is set at £30 million by Chelsea and are wiling to offload the 26-year-old this summer.
Chelsea have an abundance of attacking midfielders and have added to it with the signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Barkley has three years remaining on his current contract and will find game time very limited this season.
The problem with the deal is that West Ham value Rice at £80 million and will be reluctant to sell at anything less than their valuation of the player.
Frank Lampard will look to complete the deal Edouard Mendy from Rennes before they then attempt to sign Rice.
