Chelsea fullback Emerson Palmieri is attracting interest from several clubs in Europe.
The Italy international is surplus to requirements with the signing of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City. Emerson didn’t feature in Chelsea’s Premier League win away at Brighton and saw Marcos Alonso start ahead of him in a back four. Alonso has been often questioned of his capabilities in a back four system, a position best suited for Emerson.
The Independent says the 25-year-old is attracting interest by Inter Milan and West Ham United.
Earlier on in the window it looked highly liked that Emerson would move to Inter Milan, but that deal looked to be off as Inter signed Aleksandar Kolarov.
The Chelsea defender has two years left on his contract and would prefer a return to Italy, where he excelled previously at AS Roma before moving to Chelsea in January 2018.
With the Euros being scheduled for next summer, Emerson would hope a move materialises in which maintains his stay in the Italian squad and Roberto Mancini’s plans.
