Chelsea have a habit of producing remarkable youngsters through their academy and recently they let go of one of their stars without including a buy-back clause.
Tariq Lamptey was sold in January for less than five million by the blues and so far in the opening Premier League fixtures, the 19-year-old has impressed at new club Brighton.
And The Sun claims Chelsea have NO buy-back clause within the transfer that took Lamptey to Brighton.
Many fans on social media felt the Blues should activate a clause and bring the player back this window or in the next one.
But it appears there is no such option for the team. Lamptey had Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James to contend with for the right-back spot at Chelsea. However, a bright future he has ahead of him, all he wanted to do is play football and he is getting that at Brighton.
Perhaps Chelsea can revisit the option of bringing Lamptey back to the club in a few years time. A talented full back Brighton have on their hands and a player the blues might regret letting go.
