The Carabao Cup returns this evening as Chelsea take a short trip across London to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Fourth round. Frank Lampard will be facing against his previous coach at Chelsea in Jose Mourinho and the current Blues boss has a 100% win record against his former boss. The Chelsea Echo team give their score predictions for this evenings fixture, with the majority favouring Chelsea in a narrow in.
Let us know what you think tonight’s score will be in the comments below, along with who scores and who’s performance got your attention!

With Mourinho moaning about squad depth, I can only see him fielding a strong side. I’m no fool to his mind games. However, with Spurs also playing on Thursday, to what degree of strength, I don’t know. No doubt Spurs will be out for blood tonight after their abject performances against us last season, but I’m hoping for a strong reaction from us after our poor showing at the weekend. It’ll be a tight affair, but I’m going for us to come out on top. 2-1 to Chelsea.

With our depth and Mourinho’s pessimistic view about the upcoming game regarding Tottenham’s busy schedule, I expect Chelsea to come out on top. However, it could be a closer encounter than we expect with the Blues winning 2-1

A lot of changes might be made for tonight’s fixture as the games pile up for Chelsea. However, with the depth we have, the necessary changes will see us through into the quarter finals. Jose Mourinho will make a lot of changes for tonight as Spurs have a lot of games in the coming weeks. With their main threat in Son being out, I can see Chelsea keeping a clean sheet as it seems the wide player and Harry Kane have a brilliant partnership. That’ll be a big blow for them. For Chelsea, this is the game where Timo Werner gets off the mark in a Chelsea shirt. His pace will be too much for their defence in my opinion. All that matters is getting through and playing well against our London rivals. Get the win and then we prepare for Crystal Palace on the weekend. 2-0 for me tonight with Werner scoring and Olivier Giroud with the other.

I’m predicting a 3-0 win to Chelsea with the goals coming from Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi. Frank Lampard will be expecting a different show from the weekend slip up away at West Brom. Tottenham at the moment, has priorities in their congested fixtures, and I’m safe to say Carabao Cup isn’t a top one. It’s normal to see a weaker Spurs side tonight, hence giving Chelsea a boost.
